Ares is a competitive club dedicated to the development of individuals in the sports of pentathlon and fencing, from first introduction to the achievement of high performance results, while simultaneously contributing to their overall growth as active citizens.

Mythic Ares, the god of war, is a symbol of strength, discipline, and honor. These principles capture the ‘Ares Way.’

Go For It

Ares charged into battle with fearless determination and Ares athletes have that same spirit when they step onto the piste or into the arena. We encourage them to go for it—to take risks, to strive for excellence, to do their best, and to embrace the challenge, win or lose.

Play Fair

Though Ares was fierce, he respected the rules of combat. Fair play is our battlefield code; model integrity—respecting referees, coaches, and opponents.

Respect Others

In mythology, Ares often clashed with others—but respect was never absent. In sport, respect is our shield; honour teammates, rivals, and mentors.

Keep It Fun

Even warriors need joy. Ares may have been intense, but sport is a celebration. Fun fuels passion, and passion sustains performance.

Stay Healthy

Ares was a symbol of physical prowess—but true strength includes rest, nutrition, and mental well-being.

Include Everyone

We champion inclusion. Sport is for everyone—and our club should reflect that in every handshake, every cheer, and every invitation.

We give back by volunteering, mentoring, and supporting the community.

Our Board consists of motivated and passionate parents supporting the organization and its members. Ares is built on the foundation of its volunteers and we are grateful for the time and effort parents and partners invest to help our athletes thrive!
